January 1st, 2009: The CHURCH OF COFFEE is glad to present the traditional New Year’s adress of His caffeine Holiness, Barista I. His words, result of His true and unique bond with coffee, provide wisdom and happiness for true believers.

“Dear brothers and sisters,
fellow-believers of caffeine and friends of the black gold, because of New Year’s Day I´m greeting our congregation with flavour of fresh coffee beans in our noses. By the way, while I´m writing this speech, next to me on the right side, a glourious cup of coffee, the tasty and aromatic drink is running down my throat.
In the upcoming year 2009, our belief must be strong, don´t use instantcoffee, cause it is not keeping the spirit of our belief. But don´t forget the friendship and contact among all cultures and people on earth, support all brands of coffeebeans, arabica-coffee, robusta, excelensa, stenophylla or maragogype – all of them are good and tasty.
Especially my words shall remenbrance to our fellow-brothers in Ethiopia and the herdsmen from “kaffa”, who demonstrated and vitalised our beliefs long time ago. Specially we have to thank them for their way of percolation and handling with the holy beans.
The thoughts shall be with our brothers in Arabia, who permitted consumption of coffee and the circulation of our beliefs worldwide by the way of trading.
Now I want to finish my speech, the second wonderful steaming cup of coffee in front of me – ready to be consumed. Brothers and sisters – do it the same way.
May the warm and tasty coffee swash in your bellies forever. Coffee speed you now, in futurity and forever!
